These delicate little bowls are inspired by cenotes, the spectacular subterranean bodies of water that dot the landscape of the Yucatán. The crystal clear pools were commonly used by the ancient Mayans as sources of drinking water and as sites for sacred rituals. Likewise, the cenote bowls are perfect little containers for your own personal rituals. Fill them with calming lavender, rose petals or cone incense as an aromatic reminder to be present. Fill them with finishing salts or spices, and place them on your dinner table to accompany a lovely meal. Rest them on your nightstand as keepers of your favorite jewelry while you sleep.
Each one of a kind cenote bowl starts life as a little pinch pot and is formed through a meditative reductive process, and lastly finished with a food safe glaze. The dimensions of each bowl are as follows:
bowl one: 7/8" high and 2 1/4" in diameter
bowl two: 3/4" high and 2 1/2" in diameter
bowl three: 3/4" high and 2 1/2" in diameter
